Mike Hoover

Vice President of Distribution

Mike joined SolvChem^® in January 2025 as the Vice President of Distribution. He brings more than 27 years of industry experience to this position, having held a variety of commercial and leadership roles over the course of his career.  He has worked in both chemical manufacturing and distribution throughout the US.

Mike and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

Mike was born in Seoul, South Korea but moved stateside when he was 1, growing up in Arkansas and Oklahoma where he developed his love for the outdoors. In his spare time he enjoys golfing and spending time with family and friends.

Jess Covington

Director of Sales

Jess joined SolvChem^® in September 2025 as Director of Sales, where he leads the development and growth of the domestic sales team. With 18 years of experience in the industrial, specialty, and oilfield chemical sectors, Jess brings a strong track record of driving sales performance and building customer relationships.

A native of the Houston area, Jess now lives in Friendswood, Texas, with his wife and their three children. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, playing poker, and spending time with his family.

Stacey Young

Account Manager

Stacey  joined SolvChem^® in 2006.  Prior to SolvChem^®, Stacey’s experience has brought years of sales, administration and management.  She is responsible for maintaining and growing partnerships with her customers in order to provide quality products and services.

In her spare time, Stacey loves to travel with her husband, Joe, to see new places and to visit their combined families of 13 children and 5 grandchildren. She also loves reading and volunteering with her church.  Her purpose is to serve others with respect and kindness.

Thad Fine

Account Manager

Thad joined SolvChem^® in the fall of 2022 as an Account Manager for the Houston area.  He brings 17+ years’ experience in the solvents & chemicals industry.  Before SolvChem^®, Thad used his talents in other areas such as a financial advisor, textile sales, and retail communications industries.  Thad holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY.  

Thad was born in Michigan, lived in Illinois, North Carolina and Kentucky, then to Texas as quickly as he could.  Thad has a lovely girlfriend, Anna Marie, and they like to spend their leisure time going to concerts, church, traveling and eating out at diverse cuisine restaurants.  He also is very active in charities:  USO, HCRP block walk, volunteer poll watcher and Houston Civil War Round Table.   Thad likes to play golf and tennis.

Elijah Johns

Account Manager

Elijah joined SolvChem^® in April 2023 as an Account Manager.  He is responsible for developing and growing sales in the Dallas and Fort Worth region. He began his professional career with AT&T as a Sales Executive in the Manufacturing Division.

Elijah graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S.  in Industrial Distribution with a minor in Business Administration from the College of Engineering.  During his time at Texas A&M, he served as Vice-President of The Professional Association for Industrial Distribution. 

Elijah was raised in San Antonio, Texas and currently resides in Dallas. Outside of work, he enjoys all aspects of fitness, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
